My Utility Forge is operated by Glenn Chalmers. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it. We are committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

We do not run analytics, tracking pixels, or any third-party scripts on this website. We do not collect data passively.

We will never sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. MailMaid and your Gmail data

MailMaid is a self-hosted desktop application. It connects to your Gmail account directly on your own machine using Google's OAuth 2.0 flow. Your emails and Gmail credentials are never transmitted to our servers — all processing happens locally on your computer. The only tokens stored are on your own device.

We retain email correspondence for as long as necessary to resolve your query, and no longer than 12 months unless a legal obligation requires otherwise. Purchase records are retained for 5 years in accordance with South African tax requirements.
